With all the comments about my language, I guess I should try to enroll in some english learning classes at night huh? I have spend a long time writing the post, in which I thought I gave sufficient explanation about my change from nolecub to jason. That had to do with the fact that nolecub started to post more then jason had at that point. However, seeing how jason has started to contribute more, there are now 2 other players to look at. Noodle posted next to nothing, and Bobthewarrior as well. While Noodle has more posts, he also has less content, so: unvote:Jasonvote:NoodleFor this day, I'm simply sticking to the adage that you have to contribute in order to avoid suspicion. It's a simple rule, and it has proven to be fairly effective in flushing out the mafia, so I will stick to it. @cg - Something I missed last night, but you said I 'suddenly decided nole was gg'. Could you please enlighten me WHERE I said that? All in all, you were quick to jump all over me, and apparently, despite my explanation, the sheer brilliance of your deduction has swayed everybody around. @watermoon - This is a new argument - I follow along? Where exactly? It seems to be a pretty bold statement to make without giving any additional information. And if my sole goal was some fiendish plot to change my vote from nolecub to jason, as CG decided must have been the case, why would I have bothered making that long post? Why not do what most did, that is lump a few players together, and make some comments? So I could then concentrate on nolecub and Jason? Someone who follows in a mafia game, bandwagons. I have done anything but, in fact, it's my change of vote that started a bandwagon on the guy I DIDN't vote for. I would like to point out that most other players DID bandwagon on nolecub. Something doesn't ring true about you, water_moon.

Well this is it. 5 on 4. If we don't hit a scum, we're gone. I'd like to honour merlin's dying wishes and ask for an explanation from water_moon. As a bit of an incentive:
vote: water_moon

I must admit Merlin is the last person I thought would be Night Killed. If I were Mafia he would not have been my choice because "The Town" was set to lynch him anyway so that choice has me puzzled.
Merlin accuses Water Moon and is killed. If you were Water Moon and Mafia would you suddenly kill your accuser? Not sure if I would as it seems too obvious.
Time to go back over the posts so I'm not jumping on Jason's Water Moon band wagon at this point. But yes obviously we need to get it right this time or our goose is cooked.

Good morning all.
It is Saturday morning probably for most of us.
I don't think there will be much posting.
Again I am going to re-read everything.
Merlin posted quite a bit and there may be a clue in there as to why he became a target.
I keep thinking there is more to this game - we started out at a very big disadvantage with only a cop and doc. This is the largest game we have had for a while - it doesn't make sense that it would be so lopsided with a quick end as it appears to be approaching. Does anyone else think there may be some balancing twists that we do not know about? Just speculation and not sure how it could help us but you guys have more experience that may be valuable to help the town right now.

Morning thoughts: Noodle has been uncharacteristically silent this game. It has crossed my mind that either he or Bob The Warrior is mafia and the silence is part of the strategy. Not sure though if wasting a lynch on either is a good move. Being unfamiliar with Bob I would choose to lynch Noodle of the two. I'm inclined not to suspect Water Moon UNLESS Merlin was mafia and they lynched one of their own. Vegas odds - that probably did not happen.......but still.... Check back later to review the daily discussion.

Well, I was apparently wrong about nolecub. Merlin's NK actually makes a pretty good bit of sense - when a situation happens where two people are both considered mafia, and then one shows clean, the other tends to get a bit of a free ride for a while.
I really would like the quiet people to start talking. They top my suspicion list at the moment.

Ok, as Jason stated, we're in a bad position right now. With 5-4 (assuming the mafia didn't kill one of their own, which doesn't make a lot of sense for this small of a game), if we lynch incorrectly today, it's almost certainly a loss for us. The odds would be too small after that to be able to count on a victory.
Now, how to approach this. We have to find a mafia today. They won't let us get a no-lynch, so that's not even worth considering. And if we don't unite behind someone, they can bandwagon against any of us and win. So I propose that everyone put up their suspicion lists as early as possible so we can all go over them and pick out common factors. I'll start with mine.
Soylentred - She was focused on merlin, noodle, and nolecub yesterday. 2 of the 3 are dead. That seems like a fairly obvious frame to me, but that doesn't clear her. The mafia has been known to intentionally frame themselves for this very reason.
Water_Moon - She's been posting a lot of logic and theory. She seems to be trying to lead the town, hopefully in the right direction. She had the lone vote on merlin at the end of the day, and I'm inclined to think she's clear. But definitely watch her through the day, she's very good at roleplaying and hiding her true role.
Noodle - Not a lot to go on, but that's not too surprising for him. He could be mafia, he could have a town role, he could just have real life things. I'm inclined to not go after him today, just because we don't have enough info and can't take chances.
BobtheWarrior - One post with a good suspicion list. Not a lot to go on, but it's useful information at least. My concern here is that he may be mafia hiding, but he could also be one of our power roles. As with noodle, I'd like to leave him a bit longer.
Firehorse - He seems to be helpful to the town, I see a genuine attempt to root out mafia in his posts. That's not too easy to fake, but it's not that difficult. I'm inclined to trust him for now.
Xanth - Some good ideas, but I don't have a good read on him. As such, I'm concerned that he could be mafia trying to show helpful. But on the other side, he could truly be a helpful townie, and at this point we don't need to lose any of those.
Jason - I'm concerned for multiple reasons. Yesterday, he came out and specifically commented on his playstyle, which in the past I have seen does not quite match what he stated. Could be a difference between then and now, but I'm not inclined to trust him very much at the moment. Also, he voted for w_m immediately today. The mafia knows that they just need a townie lynch today, and conveniently, we've already got a vote out.
ColorlessGreen - Yesterday, I stated that he should be seriously considered for lynching today. However, with merlin's death, that's changed things. It seems an obvious frame to me. I would not put it past the mafia to frame themselves, it's worked several times in the past.
Right now, I'm most worried about Jason. And unless that changes through the day, he'll be getting my vote later. But we'll see how things go.

1st off: @soy: I'd say it's a desire on the part of the GM for the mafia to win. The last several games have been townie wins. If the town is always winning then the balance must be shifted towards the mafia or it's not balanced.
I'm sorry cg, but I really have to see this as arrogance on the part of the mafia, merlin was not safe. As I idicated before I went to sleep last night, I'd have gone after him just as hard, so I guess they did us a favor in that respect. But it also means they must have suspected him of a power role. Because as a frame job on you, I, or soylent it's way too obivious.
While I too suspect those flying under the radar, the mafia at least can afford mistakes. There are going to be at least one or two active mafia, if nothing else there aren't enough quiet people and they don't even have to stick to re-cap to get the post count high but avoid content.
Thus the questions: Soy: what do you think of the Mafia Seamstress role?
jason: why the last minute jump on nole?
xanadu: where are you? Seriously, there's pleanty of content from day one, so who is your top suspect? Oh, and what's your favorite cookie?
bob: why call the mafia power role a seamstress?
noodle: what do merlin and nac have in common?
cg: do you think merlin was the Cop or Doc?
goltar: can you write a post in less than 3 hours?

cg: do you think merlin was the Cop or Doc? No, but I tend to avoid trying to identify townie power roles, at least through the first few days, because if I happen to guess one correctly I may slip up and point the mafia at the power role, and (at least with the standard doc/cop) they operate best while undiscovered, at least until (in the case of the cop) they have vital information and need to go public. I do not consider merlin's voting/suspicions from yesterday to be targeted enough to be an attempt at trying to get people to go after a confirmed mafia via investigation. While I too suspect those flying under the radar, the mafia at least can afford mistakes. There are going to be at least one or two active mafia, if nothing else there aren't enough quiet people and they don't even have to stick to re-cap to get the post count high but avoid content. I like this. While I realize this is a bit contradictory to my above-mentioned general lack of trying to identify townie power roles, I think there's a good chance that one or more of the townie power roles are also being quiet with the hiding mafia. Trying to ferret out one or more vocal mafia may be more useful today. I'll try to put together my list of the suspicious-and-vocal at some point. -CG

Water what I think of the role - first I don't think or remember that it was explained to us and also if it was a role of power. Might be just the person who stitches the NK bodies into their shroud? If it is a power role - well I don't think the game has been set for the mafia to win. I have always seen the host try to balance the game and that is making me think there is a bit more to the game that we don't know. If there is nothing more and the seamstress has good extra power and the town has no power role other than doc and cop - you are right it is set up for us to lose.

This player sends me a PM once per night with the name of one player. Any actions of that player are blocked and have no effect for that night. They cannot choose to block the same person twice. Unless they have a power role, the target will not be notified that they have been targetted (it's not the sort of thing you'd admit to in public, anyway ). The Seamstress will not be told whether she has made a successful 'block'. Naz updated several rules. You may need to go back and read them.

Ok I think then it is fairly powerful and I think maybe it is called that because it sews someone up tight for the night.
