A thought:
Why would the conspirators actually need to do anything. With the threat of program termination, they can sit on the sidelines the entire time and allow our paranoia to get the best of us.
In other words: The do not necessarily have to come out and convince us there is no conspiracy. If we see no inkling of a conspiracy, those with yes votes are sure to jump to no late in the day tomorrow.
Remember, all we need is ONE of the treacherous scum to hang by their toe nails for us to be able to thwart their scheme.
Of course I think Friend Computer is actually trying to eliminate each of us, so what do I know.

Of course I think Friend Computer is actually trying to eliminate each of us, so what do I know. Are you saying that Friend Computer is treating us all equally? Are you accusing Friend Computer of being a communist? *Continues while keeping Nole in the corner of his eye* Since no-one here seems properly trained for interrogations, attempts at finding concrete evidence will most likely be futile. Early efforts would perhaps be better spent on demographic analysis.

Early efforts would perhaps be better spent on demographic analysis. Please elaborate. This game is even more difficult to get going than Mafia... vote: yesJust because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you.

Oh dear! That is treasonous talk! Be very careful, nolecub. I am not afraid of HAL. I downloaded some free pr0n on the comp the other day, so HAL is occupied at the moment.

Even the almighty root knows to fear computers and their wrath.
As for my thoughts, either we're all getting ourselves worked up over nothing (quite possible), or some among us are sowing seeds of dissent. Come forth now, and I will ask the computer to give you leniency.

I'm with the thought that the conspirators will need us to be voting no if they want to win.
Vote: Yes
Besides, it's more fun to have conspiracies.

there is no delete
By the numbers assuming consipitors ('cuase frankly there's no grand scheme if there aren't any): More than 1/2 of the consipitors would vote "yes" in an effort to cause a majority of innocents to vote "no" in an effort to balance a possible false loss. This works so long as the majority of townsfolk vote "no" and at least a few consipitors vote "no" because otherwise a bandwagon effect would begin and those who are trusting would begin to belive they had missed some hint or clue. Additionally, a effort would be made to cause confusion as to vote counts with rapid and repeat vote changes.
Despite several of these factors being pressent I do not beilve a conspiricy is truly in the offing. Why? Simply because no one has attempted to tie my security clearance to a higher level of insight or knowledge, which by definition I would be lacking. Failure to do this indicates to me there is not organization amongest those who wish friend computer or our peaceful society harm. Those I do not doubt that treasonous thoughts exist amongest our number. [/glare]

Even the almighty root knows to fear computers and their wrath. BAH. Ctrl+Alt+Del Problem solved I doubt Friend Computer takes kindly to the three finger salute. And there are times when rebooting is simply not an option.
