Please please WM, put Bassano in my place! Thing is - it's been my birthday! Today we went for a smash-up (I met this great girl, I have some flirting ahead of me!), and tomorrow we are probably going to the beach for a good match of boozesoccer! Should I ever come back - yes, booze soccer is nothing to sneer at - , I will join next round. Sorry! And good luck!

Here's a question (to anyone who can answer it really).. I thought I read somewhere, but I can't find it now, that only one person knows who's on their team. Basically everyone else has to assume everyone is on a different team. Based on what should I vote someone? I mean, in no mafia game so far has it been so crucial NOT to vote for a team member. It's really hard to claim something too, because there are 3 teams out there. Even if you claim to let your team know what side you're on (or because you digged up some dirt on someone) you still have 2 teams who'll vote you off. (which now that I think of it is a reason for your team members to vote for you too so that the rest of the town doesn't know who's on your side... ugh: claim=lynch)
Time's up.. golt, did you take into account that uneven groups could mean two groups of 3 and one group of 6 for example? (at least I think that could be)

Yes, I did consider that possibility, but dismissed it based on a few factors. The 60's team has three roles. For them to only have 3 people means that there are no non-roles on their team. This is a possibility, since they can recruit with the guru. However, putting them at more than 4 people makes them quite powerful, and almost certain to win. It is quite possible that w_m did something like that, but (in my opinion) she's more likely to keep things closer to balanced, at least from her point of view.
And what you're remembering is rule 1. There are 3 unequal teams, most will not know their teammates. There is nothing explicitly about how many know their teammates, but from the rules it can be guessed. The Office Toddy knows somebody who they want to win, and is in theory on their team, but not required. The Snoop can eventually know most people's identities (barring the Texter and Jimi affecting things), and the guru can know/be known to at least one person. Finally, and probably most importantly for this point, the Hippy knows their entire team (may or may not know about power roles).
And yes, any claim is extremely dangerous for everyone.

I have just read the ruleset and other posts and everything seems too random to me right now. As have been said one is only sure of his own role and will try to pick randomly from the rest. I do not think anyone will try to reveal his role since it is too risky.

Well, it's not really a case of should be gone, is it? It's not like we're playing Mafia, where we're all trying to appear to be part of a cohesive group and root out the liars. Here we're simply trying to win a popularity complex, or, failing that, helping our team mates to win. Of course, most of us don't know who our friends are, so that's going to be tricky. Assuming we get role reveal when someone is voted out, people can perhaps start making some deductions and doing some sums, but beyond that? It's a bit of a crap-shoot.
Same question.

First off Recuitment: Ric has left us in the lyrch and BOTH of our understudies are unsure if they will be able to take over the roll, plus at least one of our troup has not shown up for auditions (ie. read his role PM) and several more are missing today's rehearsals... (failed to post for this "day") *taps foot*
The day is over half done and no one has even mentioned qualifications!! *pause for dramtic sigh* Of course if some one is voted out of the running as unfit I'm sure a reason for his unfitness will be put forth (alignment reveals, possible role hints if they exist)

However voting out someone because you read an allignment clue will give out that you are not of that allignment. If someone wants to win the popularity contest he should be seen from all three groups.
Also what do we learn from voting someone out for the day. It has been asked but i couldn't see an answer so sorry if i missed it. If daily votes are going to earn us something than we need to find a good candidate. And that can be possible only if all start to talk more.

hehe sitro..
Anyway, goltar yeah I was steering towards the 60's just having 3 ppl since they can reqruit. What also caught my eye was w_m saying in the win conditions: ''Win condition: Last man standing (unless you're a toddy).'' Which could mean that there are multiple toddy's. I agree that the 2000's and 80's will likely have at least one person on the team that doesn't have a role. I come to this bare minimum: 2000's - 3 (2 roles, 1 spare) 80's - 2 (1 role, 1 spare) 60's - 3 (3 roles) I also agree that the 60's have arguably the strongest combination of roles, so that means that very likely they won't have the biggest group. However that also means in my eyes that they won't have 1 spare, because that immediately means they have a bigger group then one other group. And with their reqruiting ability that could even grow up to 5. I think the 60's will have to do with their roles. That means I can spread 4 people over the 2000's and 80's. I don't think there's a group of 6 (half the town) so I either come to: 2000's - 5 (2 roles, 3 spare) 80's - 4 (1 roles, 3 spare) 60's - 3 (3 roles) or 2000's - 4 (2 roles, 2 spare) 80's - 5 (1 roles, 4 spare) 60's - 3 (3 roles) With the first one being most likely. The 2000's roles are mainly roles that don't help them as a group. Either they have to play to get someone else to win or they show up differently when being snooped on.. not much to help the group forward. While the 80's have their snoop which is pretty strong.
With the lack of information (death's and lynch trains etc) it's also really easy just not to do anything. It's basically a crapshoot on day one, multiplied with the chance to vote for a team member makes it really hard to drop The Bomb on someone.
w_m is this an audition for CATS? Seems we could use some more catfighting in here...

I will agree that there's not a lot behind today's vote. But I do have one bit of information that I can use in making my vote. I know my own alignment. I may be about to vote off one of my own (I hope not), but for today:
Vote: sitro
The whole I'm sure of it never sits well with me, and sint is one of our more talkative ones right now, so we need to keep him around.

Why is everyone so caught up is how the teams are aligned rather than trying to find out who there teammates are?
Vote: jrlafrance
Your post oozes with 80's lingo, and I hate the 80's.

...... No one has any replacemernt canidates? Solentred were are you? Ray? Noodle? If you don't show up for the daily practice I expect a good excuse. Rather than loose 4 players (ric dropped) on day one I am extending the day.
Which will give you people a chance to try to figure out which of the three tied for disqualification you like least.....

Don't worry, I am still alive. I spent yesterday drinking, and today painting at my brother's house. I'm exhausted, but I'll do my best at practice today.
I don't like people that cuddle up next to Liquid, as we all know how conniving he can be. It may all be for show, but for now I'm going to
