You could post a link in the other threads so more know about your forums. I don't know a lot of recipes. I love to cook, but don't really have any kind of baking experience that doesn't include a box. I do cookies though it's been a while. I get home too late to cook dinner, but I love cooking breakfasts. My wife and three kids each get something different usually I've often dreamed about owning a stand like the espresso drive thrus, but one that serves breakfasts to the commuters. Oh yeah, get your web page going...

I could, but I'm not allowed to "advertize" and this way I can put my recipies up without having to worry about a site going down or over running my geocities site. I've also tended to notice that places like this don't last very long... all fo differnt reasons but none the less, if it never gets off the ground then it can't crash right??
As for cooking, that's the kitchen, you can always contribute in other ways you know... (ps. new cookie recipies are always good, and you'd be suprised what you can do to a box recipie.)

The holidays are almost over. I like them, but they are a bit more stress than I need. Let winter begin so we can get to spring ;D

We had a large wind storm last thursday and we'ld lost power for 23 hours. We were fortunate, too. My brother in law just got power back last night night and his house temperature was down to 42 degrees. There are still a bunch of people with out power for up to another five days I hear. We also had a nasty snow storm right after thanksgiving. Four inches at our place. I left work at 5 and didn't get home until a little after 11 when I normally get home around 6:30.
I don't like driving in snow, so my stress would highten on a drive like that. Hope your Christmas season is good for you.

We got stuck on I-80 when they closed it due to the blizzard that shut down the Denver airport on the way in, and slowed down quite a bit on return due to a blizzard in the same strech of Nebraska.
I don't think we'll be driving in anymore, I don't like spending 6 days on the road to spend 5 in town seeing the family. O/c being stuck in the airport until Christmas isn't my idea of fun either, too bad I can't get the family out to us for X-mas.

All we've had this Fall/Winter so far is rain and wind, and really weird warm temperatures. Okay, there was one night when we got a few flurries. Finally, today it is getting cold (though still windy). Some of the areas around here are getting snow, supposedly, but we haven't seen any. Lousy winter so far. My allergies have been going crazy.

We haven't gotten the propper amount of snow here either, it's kinda disapointing, but it also makes me worry ore about next year's fire season. Though the weather is supposed to get quite cold and possibly snow this week, we'll see.

Lack of snow may cause problems for the farmers, too, come Spring.
Finally, a little snow layed. Just a dusting and most of it blew away, but at least it's cold. Will probably get all warm again soon.

Hey, Jude, If I remember correctly you live in Europe. Could you refresh an old guy's memory as to where exactly. I thought you translated stuff into french, but for some reason I'm thinking you live around the Netherlands.

Lack of snow may cause problems for the farmers, too, come Spring. We have ranchers, not farmers. The average humidity this summer was 14% and the total combined rain fall for June-Sept is usually less than an inch. Add in lots of mountains, soil that is either clay or sand but not a nice mix, snow storms in May, and high alt, and well... This is looking out from my back patio, note the sagebrush and lack of trees: The yellow stuff is what's called cheat grass, it comes in green for about 2 weeks and dies, making fire fuel. A dry winter and a wet spring is not what we want. The only thing worse is lightening.

I grew up in eastern washington, desertland, and that looks wonderful None of those nasty trees getting in the way of the beautiful scenery.
