Well, the bamboo chutes are ready.
You have less than 22 hours to send me my first manicure customer.

This is a pretty sleepy first day. Minus Soy with 4 posts (and now me with 2), it looks like everyone has just posted once (minus Ray). Is this about the usual in these small games? Regardless, I’ll see if I can remedy that with a few more questions later tonight. @liq: Not that it matters but i wasn't mafia in any of the games you missed. Just for the record I wasn’t serious; I just thought I’d throw out some ridiculous reasoning to see if anyone outside the usual would say something to correct me. Just out of curiosity though (and my own laziness), has the mafia or town been winning?

3 mafia seems more realistic, given that nole might have prohibited mafia action on night 1. If that's not the case, and some role or something accidentaly blocked an NK, then it might be just 2.. but it seems like a low number. Three is my bet. I hadn't thought of that. I don't think we would've got the Noleplay confusion if a NK was blocked (accidental or not), we probably would have had something along the lines of "person A was locked up in their room but heard someone creeping around their house" (or whatever other analogies Nole wishes to use, based on the particulars of whatever blocked a NK). I've never ran a game before, and I am terrible with math and statistics, so I don't know what the best options are for a small group to make for fair odds. Maybe 3 mafia that can only NK everyother night (?). No matter what, we still know there's at least ONE scum out there, but we don't have a lot to go off of until somebody dies...

Wow that is something I have so totally never seen. I don't think I have ever seen a doctor save or a block at night where we have been told that is what has occurred. We just wake up with no one dead. I get the feeling you are trying to minimize/downplay your experience in these games. Are you? Sorry I just get a fishie vibe from that.

We just wake up with no one dead. I get the feeling you are trying to minimize/downplay your experience in these games. Are you? Sorry I just get a fishie vibe from that. I've seen it, but it depends on how much roleplaying the Mod is going for. I've played about 7-8 games (give or take), mostly back in the Community forum, with a couple in the SPF and the first 2 games here. But I HAVE seen games where the mod simply says "there were no deaths last night, day # begins now", so I understand your reaction to my post. So the answer to your question is "Nope". I've got experience, I just don't learn from it You're about the only one posting regularily, and I doubt I'll get a chance to post before end of day, so in an hour or two I'll come back and try to make a vote... hopefully there'll be a few more posts.

Couple of questions to motivate some more posting.
Ray- Where ya at big dawg? nac- Any people giving you a weird vibe thus far? (Not that many posts so just give me a gut reaction) firehorse- Who is the most suspicious player in your eyes?

Well, it's been four hours since my last post, and still nothing from the rest of the group... (except more prodding from Liq) SoooOOoo... even though there's not a whole lot to go on besides guts and a NC post from most, here's my rundown anyway (in the order that Nole put them): NacRuno: Pushed forward the idea of 3 mafia, which I think wouldn't be a smart thing to do as scum, better to leave people thinking there's only 2, so a third can blend in with the crowd. I'm mostly leaning for townie here... Liquid Evil: The same shepherding he does every game, and 1 of 3 currently multiposting players. Still, it IS Liq, so I'll leave him on the fence for now. skoolbus: Seems a little fishy atm... Said he thought there was only 2 mafia, but no explanation as to why. Then a quick vote for Ray. With no reason why. A pattern... soylentred: Has been posting, but not a whole lot of substance (it's still day 1 afterall). Was quick to defend Skool though, so she's a little on the fishy side for me... (it IS "she", right? It's been so long since I played, I don't completely remember... sorry) ray: Nothing to go on yet. Firehorse: One quick line on the number of mafia, but nothing else at all worth analysing. No idea... merlin: Jumped on skool right away, which I kinda get, but more speculation on the number of mafia doesn't help me out any. SitRo: No Mafia Point System!?! The only reason for him not to do that is because he is scum! (I actually half believe that, half poking fun...) He was quick to post at daybreak, but haven't heard from him since... What up? It might not be much, but atm skool leads the pack in fishiness... So vote: skoolbus

Hmm, there's way too little info here to make any educated guess. If we have three mafia, they probably don't have much in the way of special powers. If we have two, they both probably have some interesting abilities.
While the subject of the # of mafia peeps is quite important in and of itself, I do agree the subjectmatter has pretty much been exhausted. I'm guessing there are three evildoers, and the mafia wasn't allowed to nk night 1.
To me the person who is most suspish is certainly skoolbus, but I'd hate to bandwagon the lad if he isn't around to defend hisself. Liq seems unuasually quiet, considernig his normal day 1 behavior, but that might just be a reaction to the lack of posts from everybody else.
I'll vote for skoolbus if he doesn't make an additional (useful) post.

My appearances could be a little erratic. I essentially have a second dissertation due on Monday. Still no sign of ray at all, despite skoolbus placing a vote on him to draw him out. He does know the game has started? Skoolbus' vote is interesting too. I wouldn't question it if he was contributig other posts as well as it, but that vote is the only action he's made. I agree with friedbananazzzz about Liq, how he's played so far can be compared to his townie and mafia play in previous games so we need more time and more events to figure his allegiance out. Soylentred also seems to be playing her usual game, from what I remember. One possibility for the night is that we're not dealing with mafia but a lone serial killer. (Probably an additional anti-town faction if that's the case) Isn't the typical serial killer restricted so that they can't kill on the first night? Though that's probably to balance it out a bit for the town when there's a mafia faction as well.

(Not that many posts so just give me a gut reaction) firehorse- Who is the most suspicious player in your eyes? Most suspicious? At the moment Skoolbus & Merlin, however with that said, nobody really stands out. Its day #1 and that is typically a blind shot in the dark and go from there. I am still leaning with 2 mafia, given the rules of this game which seem to favour mafia IMO.

@liq: These small games are unfortunately usually like this. And without someone taking your role it is usually worse . About townie vs mafia, mafia players are ahead 2 to 1 for the last three games. I am not certain about anyone in this round but i feel like soy is trustworthy. In the first couple of game i played with her, i always used to get mafia vibes from her but now i know this is how she actually plays when she is townie. The ones giving me weird vibes are merlin and firehorse for now. I was writing my post and got distracted, when i came back i saw firehorse's post and i find it weird that he labeled merlin as suspicious like me. But it seems like our reasoning is a bit different. The reason i find merlin suspicious is mostly about him making way for skoolbus lynch. I am not saying skoolbus is giving any townie vibes but merlin's "i don't want to bandwagon but" post seems fishy to me. Both of his posts seems to underline too much that he is on the side of townie but i might be reading between the lines too much. My guess is that he is either mafia or protown, which are you merlin? I am aganist lynching Ray for the first day simply because it will just make us repeat the confusion of the first day in the second day.

@nac - the questions is rather superfluous. Of course I am protown. Equally of course, none of y'all are going to take my word for it, so why bother asking the question?
I have latched on to skoolbus because his vote irked me. Especially considering that he hasn't said anything since, which makes the whole - forcing people to come out and say something - bit seems just a tad hippo-critical. Nevertheless, I refuse to stoop to similar tactics. I'll give him a chance to respond before I cast my vote.

Seven hours left in the day.
Current vote tally:
ray - 1 skoolbus - 1
Pretty sure I will not be around for the exact end of day. I will make a post approximately one hour ahead of nightfall.
