If I recall correctly the following are the LPers:
Slinky = stlgirl Kahlan = Little Tiger Wrayburn = spacedaisy42 OneTreeHill = Turnip Head Capricasix = Illy alterego = Lost Rabbi starman = starman (lol, couldn't resist) secretcowlevel = Diamond Dog
Were there other LP players that I missed or did I mess anyone's identities up? Was that what you were asking for Jason?

Well, all in all I am grateful for the experience with a new crowd and perhaps sometime we will play again together! I do like you all and was not offended by anyone, I just am not sure that the tone of this game was something I would want to take part in again. But who knows I guess! Well, we've got another game coming up soon. Watch the general thread (stickied at the top of this forum) for details. Sint is next in hosting if he's ready and up for it, otherwise, it's me. A quick word on balancing Mafia games: I'm sure anyone who has ever hosted a game realises just how hard it is to strike a balance between Town and Mafia. Yes, yes, yes, and then some. But even unbalanced games can be fun. This one certainly was fun. Make sure to get back in queue when you can Jason.

I thought this game was pretty well balanced - the lynching of 3 town out of the gate didn't help and at that point maybe if the MS hadn't been activated when 2 town were not replaced it would have been ok still.
The TD role was powerful and having doctor and nurse but that was well offset by the roleblocking and the potential recruit and the MS. The war hero again had the potential to even it up a bit and never got in to play.
The no unvoting part - if we hadn't had that the war hero would have been used I'm sure. I think it is a nice balance to have an unvote but something that stops the tie. The no unvoting really changed the strategy and if I might say it deadened the game a bit - once quite a few of the votes were in there was no need to watch or participate right til day end. No possibility of vote switching makes day end less lively.

Well, since nobody else seems to be saying it, I will. I LIKED not being able to unvote. It makes vote counting far easier for the moderator and anyone else wanting to do so. It prevents last minute vote switching. And it prevents voting just to get people to say something. You actually have to think about your vote, and not lightly toss it around.
Yes, unvoting is useful, and I'm likely to keep it in my games. But it's enjoyable to have some games without it.

Yes, unvoting is useful, and I'm likely to keep it in my games. But it's enjoyable to have some games without it. It is a change of pace, innit? But for the record, it DOES put a lot of strain on vote manipulating roles such as the war hero (mine) this game. In order to make sure that I could hide my role from the mafia, I was forced in this situation to vote at the end of the day. And as I said before, that end of the day was 2 am for me. I had to vote, because not voting would result in a punishment and attract attention. So I could basically select somebody who was not a likely lynch candidate, place my vote and leave (which would also have come over as strange after a couple of days) or I could gamble, but most days, the voting pattern had at least 2 possible candidates right up till the end of the day. MY suggestion: Pick an end of the day TIME. There's no need for the GM to post an end of the day post really. You could let the day end at any time, and simply disregard any post that falls after that time. That way, you can pretty much pick a time that is favorable to most players.

Well I think larger games are easier to balance, with the downside of more likly to need replacement. Frankly, the best bet would have been for everyone to know that it was two townies modkilled, not knowing gives a false sense of hope.....
