@w_m: I couldn't quite get your other hints but your hint for the office toddy was the presidential office. Also Dwight (Eisenhower's middle and then first name) is the toddy in the comedy "The Office" here in the U.S. I did try to layer hints as much as possible. I have to ask did any one actully look up the wiki pages for edits? I thought of that and figured it'd be a bit too much.

That was different. The whole alliance against the 60's completely threw me off track. Well done Nac Runo.

GG 80's victory!! ;D Wow, indeed well done nac. Thanks for the game wm, I honestly suspected the game to be less interesting, but luckily, I was pretty much wrong. I did suspect the 80's to have the extra person, but in the end believed 2k to take the cake either way. And yeah nac, reading back you may have tried to explain it to me without so many words, but I was just looking at the numbers and believed the 80's were goners anyway. sint why ray and not ric? Do you mean to say you got my hints! *blushes with pleasure* Heh yeah.. well actually I just figured ray made more sence, sry

oh you were a contender.
Just for the record, LE's snoop hint was "scrapy" as in Scrappy Doo and the typical Ernest comedies, ligtbulbs and lighting/enlightenment in Soylent's Guru, "are you experence[d]" & wah wah pedals for Goltar's Jimi Hendrix, and for nole's boss "you're fired" and James Lancaster was one of the orginal heads of the India Trading Company.

Scrappy-Doo first appeared in 1979, and Ernest Goes to School (the one you hinted at) was actually released in 1994, but I suppose I'll give it to ya. gg

Wow, didn't expect to see that one coming. Apologies to the 80's for my early exit, think I need to work on a posting style that doesn't seem to rub people the wrong way. Then again, you did a great job without my help anyway! Thanks for hosting, w_m! Early exit? nolecub has it out for me every game, mine was an early exit. I had a hard time following the game, but it turned out to be a very interesting one. Sorry Liq for throwing out all those 80's phrases. (They can be seen here: www.inthe80s.com/glossary.shtmlGreat game Nac, thanks for hosting WM!

Good game all.
Of course I was the guru. I failed to recruit anyone. My first target was Goltar and he was already on my team. My second target was Liquid who I could not recruit because of his role and that led to him finding out I had tried. My third target - which due to timing problems I had a hard time implementing would have been Nolecub and I would have been unsuccessful as well. I got some mileage by letting people think the recruiting was successful but mostly I was a dud. Sorry.
