Vague attempt at a story
Welcome to the 80's. Or at least, my rendition of it. Your town has been relatively peaceful, but recently, some "professional" wrestlers came through, and you're concerned that some of the townspeople have begun imitating them. Your job is to find them and put them in jail before their vandalism turns worse.
Rules
One lynch per day, most votes gets lynched. No minimum to lynch, voting for no-lynch doesn't count. Unless there are absolutely 0 votes, then someone will be lynched. In the event of a tie, whoever reached the highest vote total first will be lynched.
Votes in bold, unvotes in bold. You must explicitly unvote, or your previous vote sticks.
Lynches are sent to jail rather than killed.
Night kills are sent to the hospital, and allowed to send one message per night to the town. This ability is delayed. If you are NK'd on Night 1, you cannot say anything until Night 3 (since you won't know you are NK'd until after Night 1 is completed).
Lynches are alignment revealed to all immediately, NKs are alignment revealed only to the bad guys immediately.
If someone is inactive for an entire day without prior notification, I will replace them (if there is an active replacement player who responds by the next morning) or modkill.
Days will be 48 hours, nights will be 24 hours. I'll be starting with day 1, but if enough want it, I'll start with a night 0 that allows no actions, but the groups can communicate to begin forming plans.
The game will end when it is impossible (as determined by me) for one side or the other to win. The druggie wins by simply making it to this point. Both the pro-town and anti-town want him defeated.
Roles
Pro-Town
Magnum PI - Cop - 1 Investigation per night.
Mr. T - Doctor, 1 protection per night, cannot protect same person two consecutive nights.
Costume Band - Masons - Can communicate at night and can choose to recruit one additional member. I might remove these completely if there are too few players.
EDIT: I forgot to put the full details of the recruiting ability. The band can recruit ANYONE, wrestlers included. Whoever they recruit will be given the names of the band members, obviously the band will know them, but I will not specify if their recruitee has any role.
Anti-Town
“Pro” Wrestlers - Mafia - Standard mafia, can talk at night, one night kill.
Mullet Troll - Blocker/Substitute - The MT will “block” a target at night. If that target is performing an action, that action will target the MT instead. Mr. T will protect the MT, the cop will receive the MT as a result for their normal investigation, the druggie will hit the MT.
Other
Druggie - Random effects - The druggie will choose someone at night to visit. An effect will be chosen at random. Mr. T will stop the druggie, and is immune to the druggie's action. Possible effects on the target:
Immune to night kill for that night
Silenced for the next day
Blocked from performing actions for that night
Kill anyone other than the druggie who targets them
Die
Nothing
There may or may not be a hidden role, depends on the number of players.
