We've got a couple of inches. It's the first snow this fall that hasn't melted during the day. Unfortunately, it has a thin layer of ice under it, so driving conditions are not good... Also, people are cleaning the snow from the sidewalks, but leaving the layer of ice, so walking (especially with my bad knee) is not very safe, either. Disappointing, because I like to go out walking on the night of the first good snowfall and enjoy the beauty of it. I can't risk it with the ice, though, or I may end up with my knee dislocated again, and then I'd get to spend the winter in pain and using a cane. Jude

I know the feeling, I was scared to go much of anywhere around here last year because I was off balance with my pregnacy and in the area we are the snow and ice melt durning the day and re-freeze at night. Makes for some spectacular iceles! But slippery walking.
