Nope, I live in Pennsylvania. Lots of trees, hills, and rivers. I actually translate from French to English. Maybe you were thinking of Ana who lives in the Netherlands?
It's warm again (approx. 50ยบ F), and rainy.

Well I grew up in MO and MS, with more than enough trees and ground cover called "grass" that didn't have to be watered twice a day. Sidhe is dutch, too.

Grass is supposed to turn brown when it gets cold or dry. I don't understand why people need to keep their grass green all year around.
Still raining. Flood warnings abound.

If you want snow, we've had some sticking around for almost a week now. I spent the night at work last thursday, because I didn't want another six hour commute home again. It's snowing now, too.

It's snowing now, too. ewww, I hope another one isn't on the way... I have to call my Aunt tonight and make sure she still has power (she's in St. Louis) And I agree that grass should die back in winter, but here, the tempature differnce in a home that has green grass vs Xeriascaping (ie. gravel ) is about 3 or 4 degrees durning the summer, and that's not even accounting for the bonus humidity. Speaking of which, we're faling behind again this year, we just broke a 10 year drought last spring, and now we're dry again. How 'bout you guys send us some of the H2O?

in the last caption, I read "Bothell Way" as Brothel Way....
Tahoe has it's snow makers going full force, but they still don't have much. Last year they had a snow pack of 16 feet.
I'd say "trade ya" but we're doing some DiY Home improvement that I've been wanting to get to since we moved in so unless you want to help lay a bamboo floor in the DR, it's probably best to just leave it as it is.

Bamboo, my brother-in-law was putting it in his kitchen/dinning room. The two different guns they gave him didn't work as advertised (didn't shoot them in far enough or split the flooring), because the bamboo was so hard. He ended up predrilling each hole in each board and hand nailing it. The bamboo looked great, but I'ld rather go with oak which I've also helped him with.
I've put a pergo floor in myself, and it's easier. That pergo happened to look like tile and also looked good when done. I guess it's just a personal preference thing then.

hmm, the hardness is a good thing though, and it's on sale so it's about 1/3rd the cost of oak, not too mention better for the enviroment. besides, goltar is the one putting it in, I just have to clear out the room.
